Installation
Technical details for placing Smart Call Bridge on a website. Customer onboarding collects your site and modal settings first; this page explains how the script behaves.
Script install
After you publish a configuration, the product gives you a copyable snippet. Place it before </body> on pages that include telephone links.
In local preview mode the snippet embeds configuration in the page. Production will load published config from a hosted endpoint keyed by your site.
How routing works
- On phones and other coarse-pointer devices, approved telephone links keep native calling to your main number.
- On desktop, the website SDK opens your branded modal with computer calling, Call/Text QR (when configured), copy, and optional contact-form navigation.
- If the script cannot initialize or the modal cannot open, the original telephone link remains available — the enhancement fails open.
WordPress enqueue example
Theme or plugin code can enqueue the hosted script once credentials and CDN publishing are available:
add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', function () {
wp_enqueue_script(
'smart-call-bridge',
'https://YOUR_APP_ORIGIN/sdk/v0.1.0/scb.min.js',
[],
'0.1.0',
true
);
});Prefer the plugin ZIP, which adds data-scb-site and data-scb-api. The versioned SDK path is immutable;/sdk/scb.min.js is a short-cache pointer on this app until a separate CDN host exists. This example has not been tested inside a live WordPress site. A page Content-Security-Policy must allow the script origin and connect-src to that same origin for /api/v1/config and /api/v1/events. The plugin does not embed Supabase or Stripe credentials, and it does not ask for a WordPress admin password. Paste the public site key in the plugin settings after you install it in wp-admin. Smart Connect is not available.
Framer / other builders
Paste the install snippet into a custom code / end-of-body embed. Do not claim a native Framer plugin is tested until that integration is verified separately.
